Manie & Dr Karen Wessels from Mamre Dormers are experts with this sheep system. They will be my advisors if and when I need advice. ? Then there is an Agricultural College close to the farm with a lot of experts ranging from nutrition to veldt management. ? Dr. J v Wyngaard, Voermol Feeds. ? Dr Fanie Steyn of Ramsem in Bloemfontein is an expert in sheep breeding/genetics.
Willie Louw

Willie Louw is a seasoned agriculturalist with deep roots in farming, both in South Africa and the United States. Raised on a farm, Willie has an intrinsic understanding of agricultural life and practices. His formal education includes an agricultural diploma with specialisations in Agronomy and Animal Husbandry, providing him with a solid academic foundation to complement his practical experience. Willie’s hands-on experience encompasses sheep and dairy farming, where he has developed a thorough knowledge of farm management and animal care. His practical skills are further enriched by his tenure as a marketing agent for Vleissentraal in Carnarvon, located in the Karoo. This role has given him invaluable insights into the meat industry.
Dr Josef van Wyngaard
National Technical Manager at Voermol Feeds (Pty) Ltd
Dr Van Wyngaard is the technical manager at Voermol Feeds since 2018 to present. He did his PhD on Animal Nutrition from 2015 - 2018 Entitled: Quantification and mitigation of enteric methane emisions of grazing Jersey cows. He is currently stationed in George, Western Cape, South Africa. He is a well known and honoured speaker on simposiums about animal nutrition.
Dr. Fanie Steyn
Managing Director Embrio Flushings and Laparoscopic programs at Ramsem
Dr Fanie qualified as a Veterinarian (B.V.Sc.) at Onderstepoort Veterinary College. Where after he became one of Ramsem’s Veterinary Reproductive Team Leaders in Embryo flushing, transfer and laparoscopic inseminations in sheep and goats. He is currently Director at Ramsem (Pty) Ltd, Absolute Wagyu (Pty) Ltd and Absolute Genetics (Pty) Ltd. Dr Fanie is responsible for the Juvenile In Vitro Embryo Transfer (JIVET) practices. With his reproductive and embryo experience at Ramsem, he is a great asset to the Absolute Genetics team.

Owners of Mamre Dormers
Manie and Karin Wessels farm on there farm in the Vrede district in the Free State, South Africa. They commercialise the intensive sheep farm system and they call it the M.I.L.S. system. (Mamre intensive lambing system) Manie was a Industrial phycologist and Karin had a PhD in Obstetrics. He wrote the project plan and she manage it. They are wellknown around the world and gave seminars in China, Russia, USA and more about intensive sheep farming with M.I.L.S.
